I believe in the body's innate ability to heal itself and use deep, true natural remedies and therapies to support and enhance its healing process. My mission is to help you achieve optimal health and wellness through personalized care and to encourage body literacy through gentle and consistent guidance.

I help women, teens, and young adults empower themselves and step into their full being. Together we work to nourish, heal, grow, and connect emotionally, mentally, and energetically so that it manifests physically. As my clients know, as I shift and grow as my own person, so too does my practice shift and grow in ever expanding my toolbox. I believe that true health and wellness can only be achieved by diving into the essence of the issue and supporting the whole person - mind, emotion, body, and energy.

Welcome to my cozy little corner of the internet.
I'm Nyssa; warm, receptive, gentle, contemplative. I am a mother to a little girl and a dozen chickens. I love womanhood and her innate strength, beauty, and community as well as her unique role as creator.
By trade, I am a nutrition-based naturopath, certified in homeopathy, a clinical herbalist, and cross-trained in clinical kinesiology . I am also studied in my Taino roots, Reiki Healing - as Shinpiden or Reiki Master, sacred geometry, and the subtle body work of ancient cultures.
I believe all physical ailments have a spiritual or energetic root which is where I like to work. This belief manifests in utilizing some form of energy work in all aspects of my healing practice which includes physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional bodies. In other words, I work with the physical as well as the subtle bodies.
Women, teens, and young adults are my core focus. Unfortunately, men have a less than 10% adherence rate to health related care so my practice does not cater to that market.

MY JOURNEY
I have gleaned knowledge and had the opportunity to learn from practitioners from around the globe. My journey physically took me as far as the middle east and Asia, brought me through a natural, peaceful water-birth in a home environment attended by my midwife and doula, and to different schools and trainings from Texas to Philadelphia, Miami to India.

I have garnered vast experience with people (and pets!) in my time as a medic (EMS and rescue), in backcountry medical care as both provider and instructor, as the emergency pre-veterinary care provider on a ranch, in a canine orthopedic surgery and internal medicine specialty clinic, as a nutrition and health & wellness coach, and a contractor for both state and federal government.

My work and expertise was acknowledged when I had the honor of sitting on a panel of experts for Texas Parks & Wildlife, being a CPE (continuing professional education) provider for TEA, being a keynote speaker for Texas Parks & Wildlife and the Texas Forest Service, conducting workshops for Rice University and Texas A&M, contracting for the State of Texas, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and the Department of Homeland Security, as well as making many appearances and speaking at seminars for numerous other companies and agencies.

And now, I am in practice for myself in coastal Georgia and South Carolina, because when you know better, you do better. I am able to service people world-wide through my telemedicine platform.
